Clive Truter Studio

Clive Truter Studio produces original fine art paintings and stained glass panels. We also do the restoration of old solid-wood doors, which often contain stained glass, as well as repairs to leaded glass windows. We restore solid-wood furniture that has sufficient value to justify the process and undertake special commissions in furniture.

The paintings are done by Clive Truter. He studied Fine Art at the University of Natal in Pietermaritzburg graduating with a BA (Fine Arts), followed by a Higher Diploma in Education. He lectured in Printmaking, Painting and the History of Art at the Technikon Natal in Durban for ten years. He has also since then lectured part time in media design.

Over his varied career he has been a farmer in peaches, tomatoes and citrus, all under irrigation. He has been a packhouse manager and exported citrus internationally. He has been a commercial broker for many years, and involved in sales and marketing. 

International sales and inter-provincial sales:

• Prices are quoted in South African rands (ZAR). The exchange rate to dollars or pounds at the time of the sale will apply
• All paintings on plywood or wooden board are treated with Efekto PWP-F
• Packaging and crating is done by the artist and the cost is included in the selling price
• Shipping costs and import taxes (if any) are for the purchaser's account
• All works come with a certificate of authenticity
• All works carry a 7-day money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase which is valid for seven days from the date of receipt of the package
• Return shipping is for the purchaser's account unless it can be shown that the packaging was faulty
